Lavender Hot Toddy

What you'll need:

  • 1 1⁄2 cups hot water
  • 2 TBS Lavender Syrup
  • 2 Blood Oranges-juice one and slice the other one for garnish
  • 2 Honey Crisp or other sweet Apple-sliced into 10-12 slices
  • 3 ounces Jameson Whiskey (rum can be substituted)

Directions:

1. Bring water to a boil, either on the stovetop or using an electric kettle. While waiting for the water to boil, add lavender syrup, juice from orange, and half the apple slices to the French Press or small pitcher.

2. Once the water is boiling, pour into a French press (or pitcher) and steep for several minutes.

3. Add the whiskey to the French Press (or pitcher) and stir before replacing lid and pushing the plunger down.

4. Pour into two mugs and garnish with remaining apple and orange slices.

Makes 2 servings.
