Whiskey Sour

What you need:

  • 2 ounces Rebecca Creek Bourbon Whiskey
  • 1 ounce Lavender Lemon Syrup*
  • 1 ounce freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • Garnish with a lemon slice and/or cherry

Directions:

Add the whiskey, lavender lemon syrup and lemon juice into an ice filled cocktail shaker. Shake well. Strain into a tall glass filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon slice and/or cherry.

*Optional: Substitute the lavender lemon syrup with any of our syrup flavors. The Lavender Peach Syrup also pairs really well with this bourbon.

For the Cranberry Whiskey Sour:

Directions:

Add the whiskey and cranberry syrup to an ice-filled highball glass. Top with pomegranate juice. Stir until well blended and garnish with a dehydrated orange slice.

The Whiskey Sour was a favorite cocktail of sailors in the 1700s and 1800s and was considered the best a man could drink. With long months spent at sea, sailors were often malnourished and at risk for developing scurvy, a disease linked to lack of vitamin C. Eating citrus was an effective way to combat scurvy and tasted even better when paired with whiskey and water. The Whiskey Sour eventually made its way to shore, becoming a classic that's still popular to this day.

Rebecca Creek Fine Texas Whiskey, a blend of aged whiskeys, bourbons, and limestone-filtered water from the Edwards Aquifer that's sourced at Rebecca Creek Distillery. This award-winning whiskey is crafted in San Antonio.
