What You'll Need:
CHAI SIMPLE SYRUP
- 4 Chai tea bags
- 8 oz water
- 1/3 cup Lavender Vanilla Syrup
OLD FASHIONED
- 2 oz Rebecca Creek Whiskey
- 1-2 oz (2-4 tablespoons) chai tea and lavender syrup mixture
- 1 oz freshly squeezed lemon juice
- 1 dash orange bitters
- Sparkling water
- Garnish with cinnamon stick and star anise
Add chai tea bags to 1 cup boiling water, cover, and let steep for 10-15 minutes. Add Lavender Vanilla Syrup and stir. Let cool to room temperature. Can be refrigerated for up to 2 weeks.
In a cocktail shaker, add the bourbon, lemon juice, orange bitters, and 2 tablespoons of the chai tea syrup mixture. Add ice to the shaker and shake to combine. Pour into a lowball glass and top with a splash of sparkling water. Garnish with cinnamon and star anise if desired.
